On
Wednesday May 14th, S.O.B.'s presents Grammy-winning hip-hop
star, Lupe Fiasco, live in concert. Lupe last performed
at S.O.B.'s in 2006, shortly after his debut Food & Liquor was
released, and since then, he has followed up with the critically
acclaimed Billboard-topping sophmore effort,The Cool, and sold-out
various New York venues like The Fillmore NY and Hammerstein
Ballroom. He is also on the bill for Kanye West's "Glow
In The Dark Tour", which hits MSG for a sold-out show
on May 13th. On May 14th, Lupe returns to S.O.B.'s to
give fans an intimate concert experience unique to the legendary
venue.
Lupe's selection by Rolling Stoneas part of its "Top 10 Artists
to Watch in 2006" has turned out to be almost prophetic and inspired
clairvoyance. Since first coming onto the music scene in 2006 with his
show-stopping verse on Kanye West's hit single, "Touch The Sky",
Lupe has climbed from success to superstardom. Lupe received the
2008 Grammy award for "Daydreamin' (ft Jill Scott)" for Best
Urban/Alternative Performance. Armed with material from the new and hugely
popular The Cool, and swollen fanbase, Lupe returns to S.O.B's on
the 14th of May, for an up-close-and-personal concert that is sure to
be one to remember.
