Thabani Hailing from London,the Roots-Soul collective THABANI, combine
Soul, Afro and Groove influences to their potent mix of brilliant
front line tunes with a contemporary edge. Conscious lyrics
to live by, fused with a passionate musical landscape, the
THABANI band have earned a massive live following all over
Europe. They're bringing their soulful-conscious sound to the
United States for a tour to benefit World Vision and WEZIMBABWE,
two charities that support children in Zimbabwe and Sudan.
Sophia Bast crafts music that
draws from the different influences and sources that make up
her diverse musical background. "I guess I'm a bluesy
singer with a young attitude and a vintage soul and reggae
infatuation. As
a jazz vocal major I really started acquiring musicianship
that helps me write the music I love, which is very definitetly
jazz influenced, but I venture out into other musical
styles as well." Sophia has been showcased at different
venues across New York including Drom, Don Hills, Sweet Rhythm,
and is excited to bring her passion to the stage at SOB's!!!
Lance Drummonds is a soul singer, hailing from
Long Island, NY. With live instrumentation and his mixture
of R&B, electronica, and funk, he'll evoke the memories
of Sam Cook and Rick James combined! Experience his SOB's debut
on Wednesday, Novemer 19th. It'll be one to remember...
