Samba Soul is a world
music party that begins in Brazil and takes you on a musical
journey around the globe every week! It begins with NYC's top live
Brazilian bands, playing samba, forro, and axé with
a little New York urban twist and then, after midnight,
our DJs take the wheels, spinning Samba, Baile Funk, Afro-beat,
Reggae, Hip Hop and classic soul and Dancehall hits. Plus our kitchen
stays open late, so when you get tired from dancing and you
will be dancing sit down and grab a bite off our Brazilian
fusion menu, before heading back out onto the floor!!!
Beautiful, classy people, friendly staff and
infectious Brazilian grooves; that's what make up Samba

Saturday nights in NYC just got hotter!!! Legendary nightclub
SOB'S and recording artist/promoter of the popular Libation
party Manchildblack bring you a night of global dance grooves with their
brand new event, Soul Ascension. This new monthly soiree is dedicated
to showcasing the best live acts and dj's in the genres of global
soul, afro-beat, funk, deep house and nu jazz. On Saturday,
November 22nd, Sol Ascension sets it off with a bang when the artist
that Gilles Peterson calls '...the man behind a million great tunes'
stops by to construct beats live onstage - acclaimed UK producer/musician/dj
Mark de Clive-Lowe. His 2005 smash album Tides Arising is
now a future soul classic as are his remixes for the likes of Jody
Watley, Omar and Brazilian superstar Ed Motta. For this, his
first NYC appearance in over a year, Mark will be joined onstage
by powerhouse vocalist of 4Hero's dance floor anthem "Hold
it Down" the incomparable Lady Alma. If that weren't
enough, global soul guru DJ/producer Ian Friday (Tea Party Music,
Libation) will keep the dance floor jumpin' when he spins for this
amazing night of music.
