For over 27 years, Sounds of Brazil has distinguished itself with its outstanding Latin Programming. S.O.B.s has a proud history of presenting Latin musicians of all kinds. Legendary artists such as Tito Puente and his world-famous orchestra, jazz heavyweight Eddie Palmieri, the Queen of Salsa Celia Cruz and Cuban great Isaac Delgado have all graced the S.O.B.'s stage. These artists, along with many more, have helped to solidify S.O.B.s reputation for hosting the living legends of Latin music. S.O.B.s has over the years become the New York destination for live Latin music; it has an international reputation for hosting not only Latin greats but developing the careers of the new acts as well. The leaders of a new generation of Latin talent count the S.O.B.s stage as an important stop in their careers. From Puerto Rican superstar Marc Anthony, Cuban hip hop group Orishas, to the Gypsy Kings, and Grammy-winner Albita, Sounds of Brazil has hosted a who's-who of the genre. SOBs offers more than just Latin music, though, the venue offers a full Brazillian/Latin (Latin Fusion) inspired menu as well as Salsa lessons every Friday night.
