In 2004, he released his first album Sound Of The City, Vol. 1 on Fat Beats Records, which was given much praise. Now in 2010, Black Milk, through twitter, has announced that his forthcoming album, Album of the Year will be released on September 14th. Freddie Gibbs emerged out of a disheveled Gary, Indiana street corner. When you hail from the same city as the famous Jackson Five, you know you have to do your city right and Freddie Gibbs does just that.
